About the role

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience across multiple care settings, including ED and ICU, for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Greensboro, North Carolina. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Assignment Overview

  • Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Friday through Sunday
  • Hours: 36 hrs/wk
  • Start Date: August 17, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Openings: 1
  • Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system as needed

Work Settings & Patient Population

  • Work settings: adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and Level I trauma center
  • Experience required across outpatient, inpatient, ED, and ICU environments; NICU and PICU exposure preferred
  • Patient population: pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; neonates and infants preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures including abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast, chest, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Preferred special procedures: biopsies, aspirations, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, colonography, drainage, myelography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
  • Operate equipment including GE (preferred), Siemens (preferred), and PACS
  • Use Epic EMR for documentation
  • Administer contrast media and perform IV starts (preferred)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
  • ARRT (CT) and BLS certifications required
  • Experience with PACS and contrast media administration required
  • Experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; a current driver’s license is required to verify address
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
  • Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • Calcium scoring and cardiac CT experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Orientation includes non-billable compliance modules averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation
  • Any requested time off must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO will be accepted
  • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
