American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbia, South Carolina. Assignment starts 08/17/2026, requires 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule.
About the Role
- Adult acute care and outpatient work setting in a CT Scan unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Thursday through Saturday
- Procedures include CT of the abdomen and pelvis (with and without contrast), chest, head and neck, and spine and musculoskeletal imaging
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba CT scanners, as well as PACS
- Siemens CT experience is preferred
- Epic EMR experience required (minimum 1 year)
- Floating to other units and/or campuses within the health system may be required based on census needs, limited to areas where competencies have been demonstrated
- Isolation precautions and PPE protocols apply
- Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks
- Orientation is held every Monday
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials and are completed annually; up to 16 hours of module time is eligible for reimbursement
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible
Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging across a range of body systems including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head and neck, and musculoskeletal/spine, with and without contrast
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media and perform peripheral IV placement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- BLS certification required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Cardiac and stroke imaging experience required
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in peripheral IV placement
- State license required if applicable
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid driver’s license and Social Security card required for consideration
