Travel CT Tech - $2,314 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The position is a night‑shift role (3×12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week) starting November 9, 2026 for a 13‑week assignment. The technologist will work in a hospital CT scanner department, performing diagnostic CT exams and related imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT exams including head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities.
• Perform basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C‑arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
• Work night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.
• Provide call coverage 4 days per month.
• Use Medhost EMR for documentation.
• Adhere to departmental policies and protocols to produce diagnostic quality images for radiologist interpretation.
• Provide CT care to both inpatient and outpatient populations under direction of a radiologist.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of CT technologist experience.
• Current ARRT CT certification.
• CT and X‑ray experience required.
• New Mexico state license (if applicable).
• Graduate of an accredited AMA program and registered with ARRT.
• Licensed by the state as a general radiographer.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures and biopsy/drainage procedures.
• Knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, studies with or without contrast media, and cross‑sectional anatomy.
• Ability to work independently and follow established protocols.
