About the role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT(CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Laurinburg, North Carolina. This role is in a Radiology/Cardiology CT department within an acute care hospital setting, serving adult acute care, adult and pediatric outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department cases.
Schedule
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment starting September 14, 2026
- 1:1 patient ratio
Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal cases
- Perform special procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, and drainage
- Perform cardiac CT studies including calcium scoring and coronary angiography
- Prepare and administer contrast media
- Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture
- Float within the hospital as needed
- Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety protocols
- Utilize Philips CT equipment and Epic EMR (required for ER)
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience (3 years preferred)
- ARRT(CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Valid State or Compact license (if applicable)
- Epic charting experience required
- Two professional references completed within the last two years by a supervisor
- Copy of Nursys report pulled within the last 7 days
- Proof of COVID vaccination (with completed exemption form if applicable)
- Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head and neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies

- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a reduced bill rate
- Previous employees must have been away for at least one year and remain in good standing to be considered for return
- Local former employees are not eligible to return
