About the Role
Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Critical Care Float for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. This assignment lasts 18 weeks and is scheduled to start on October 5, 2026. Shift: 12H Nights. Total Weekly Hours: 36.
Responsibilities
- Float to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID
- Manage ventilated patients
- Perform arterial line management
- Administer blood products
- Manage central lines
- Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips
- Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips
- Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Perform infection prevention and use isolation precautions/PPE
- Administer chemotherapy
- Perform CVVHD/CRRT
- Manage ECMO, Impella, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Monitor ICP and manage pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz
- Provide care in Medical, Neuro, and Surgical Intensive Care Units
- Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience
- Minimum of 1 year CV ICU experience
- Travel experience required
- Will not accept first time travelers
- Past EPIC experience strongly preferred
- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper fit testing or expected to shave
Qualifications
- MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact license
- IL: License in hand required at time of submittal
- Compact: Must match permanent residence
- Certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, NIH
- Certifications preferred: Chemo, CCRN, ONS, TNCC, CPI
- ACLS required for Barnes-Jewish Hospital location
- Trauma Level: Facility Specific
