Responsibilities
- Sell international and domestic travel packages, including cruises, land packages, itineraries, air, car, and hotel bookings.
- Share travel knowledge and expertise from personal experiences or education study trips.
- Develop long-term relationships with members to drive referral and repeat business.
- Provide tailored recommendations to exceed member expectations for trip experiences.
- Cross-sell relevant products, such as the AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identity theft referrals.
- Progress through evaluations for sales, customer service, administrative, and operational proficiencies to advance into leadership roles.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is required; a 2- or 4-year college degree is preferred.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and urine sample drug screening.
- Minimum of two years of sales experience in a performance-driven environment is preferred.
- Must be available to work most Saturdays and some evenings to support goal achievement.
- Successful completion of the Travel Consultant Trainee program, which may require travel for training.
- Proficiency in navigating multiple systems, web browsers, Microsoft Office, and typing at least 30 WPM.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with paperwork.

Pay
Travel Consultants start at an hourly rate of $23.50. After completing the training program and meeting sales goals, earnings average between $67,300 - $82,300 annually, with uncapped incentive opportunities.
