Travel Clinical Nurse Instructor (Indiana Area)
About the role
Nightingale College is a nursing school committed to transforming healthcare access. This role as a Travel Clinical Nurse Instructor involves traveling to healthcare facilities across the country to provide clinical education.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate learner instruction across clinical settings at partner facilities nationwide
- Teach and evaluate learners enrolled in PN, LPN to ASN, and BSN programs
- Maintain open communication and submit required performance grades on time
- Monitor learner attendance, performance, and comprehension
- Uphold partner facility standards and hold learners accountable to them
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and shared governance
- Contribute to faculty development and institutional initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: Graduate degree in nursing, active RN or APRN license, CNE credential, 2+ years of clinical nursing experience, current immunizations and certifications
- Preferred qualifications: 2+ years of clinical education supervision, 1+ year of concept-based nursing education, 1+ year of distance education experience, familiarity with Canvas or similar learning management software
Physical requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours)
- Reach, bend, and manually move educational equipment
- Lift, carry, or move up to 25–50 lbs
- Respond rapidly in clinical settings, including emergency situations
- Communicate effectively in busy environments, including while wearing PPE

Pay
Budgeted Hiring Range: $93,500—$102,850 USD
Schedule
You'll work across all three semesters (spring, summer, fall — each 15 weeks), with at least 11 weeks per semester dedicated to clinical rotations. The remaining weeks support onboarding, certifications, and other faculty responsibilities.
