Responsibilities
- Carry out and oversee complex laboratory tests in various disciplines including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking.
- Maintain accuracy of test results, manage quality control measures, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as CLIA, CAP, and AABB.
- Create and implement lab policies, supervise laboratory staff, resolve discrepancies, interpret test results, and communicate critical findings to healthcare professionals.
- Participate in internal and external audits, maintain accurate records, and provide training to new personnel.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum one year recent CLS experience.
- Valid laboratory technician license.
- PREFERRED: Certifications such as ASCP MLS, BLS.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, technical skills, physical dexterity, and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adherence to safety protocols.
