About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Cath Lab Technologist for a travel contract with one of our top healthcare clients in Port Charlotte, Florida. This position involves 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, safe, competent, and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
• Assist in performing various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Sustain a high level of patient care through communication with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers to address physical, general, and psychosocial needs.
• Function under the direction and immediate supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist during procedures.
• Operate ancillary equipment and assist the cardiologist by anticipating and obtaining catheters, wires, inventory, and medications as ordered.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations, as well as accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Promote and maintain a patient-focused environment, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.

Requirements

• Current license in good standing.
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
• Two years of Cath Lab experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
