About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility. ARRT certification is required at time of application. This is a travel assignment in Toledo, Ohio with 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts.

  • Work in a busy cardiac cath lab with 7 procedure rooms
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 25-30
  • Setting includes diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and interventional radiology
  • Procedures include diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, right and left heart catheterizations, IABP and Impella placement/removal, stent placement, angioplasty, carotid stenting, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
  • Uses Siemens equipment and Epic EMR
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
  • One weekday call per week and every 5th weekend call required
  • Call requirements include two weekends (Friday 6pm-Monday 7am) and one night each week during the 13-week contract, plus one holiday of call if the assignment falls over a major holiday period
  • May float to EP lab as needed when Cath Lab/IR case volume is low
  • Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, EP lab support, and vascular studies
  • Perform EKG lead placement and IV starts as part of daily responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility
  • ARRT certification required in hand at time of application
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license required if applicable
  • IABP and Impella training required
  • Must be STEMI ready
  • Experience with IV starts and EKGs required
  • Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings required
  • Must be able to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
