American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for an assignment in Thornton, Colorado.
About the role
This is a Rapid Response travel assignment requiring 6 months of recent acute care Cath Lab experience and BLS, ARRT (R), or RCIS/RCES certification. The assignment starts on August 31, 2026, and lasts 6 weeks with 36 hours per week on a day shift (3x12-hour shifts). There are 2 openings available.
- Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 holding bays and 2 cath suites
- Unit staffed by 9 team members with a 3-to-1 staff-to-patient ratio in the procedural area
- Uses GE Innova Fluoro Systems and Mac Lab equipment
- Meditech EMR
- Day shift hours from 6:45 AM to 4:15 PM for CVL, with variable 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM pre/post hours
- On-call responsibilities shared evenly among the team, typically 8-12 days within a 4-week schedule
- Team aims for one on-call weekend per 4-week block, though this is not guaranteed
- Must reside within 30 minutes of the Cath Lab for on-call purposes
- No RTO or special scheduling accommodations available for this assignment
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not eligible
Responsibilities
- Perform procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, peripheral diagnostic and interventional studies, pacer and ICD implants, cardioversions, TEEs, tilt table tests, and dobutamine stress tests
- Join a high-functioning team with engaged physicians and a strong hospital culture
- Take on-call responsibilities as part of the team rotation
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital Cath Lab Tech experience
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (R) or RCIS/RCES certification required
- Candidates holding RCIS or RCES must be willing to apply for and register as a Fluoroscopy Operator in Colorado with DORA before starting
- ARRT (CI) or (CV) certification preferred
- Holding and monitoring experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
- No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
