Travel Cath Lab Tech - $2,540 per week

About the Role

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and BLS/ACLS certification to support a high-volume invasive cardiac catheterization lab in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting August 24, 2026, with 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM). Call and floating to other Cone Health campuses may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for invasive cardiac and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and provide conscious sedation support.
• Assist with adjunct cardiac intervention therapies and diagnostic/interventional catheterizations.
• Support EP lab procedures, including device implants, ablations, and EP studies.
• Support peripheral vascular (PV) lab procedures, including fistula access, lower extremity runoff studies, and pedal access.
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations (1:3 patient ratio).
• Perform an average of 25-35 invasive cath procedures per day, including:
  • Balloon angioplasty, PCI, and stent placement.
  • Thrombectomy and Impella insertion.
  • Left and right heart catheterization.
  • Rotablator atherectomy, CSI atherectomy, and Angiojet.
  • Radial/ulnar/femoral access procedures.
  • EP ablations, studies, and PV lab procedures (e.g., fistulograms, thrombectomy).
• Use EPIC-CUPID and XPER Witt for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Operate fluoroscopy and Philips equipment.
• Set up equipment, prep access sites, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Perform venous access, vascular closure (Perclose, StarClose), and vascular studies.
• Place scrub and EKG leads.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a cardiac cath lab.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• RCIS or RCES certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Active license required if applicable.
• Community hospital experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Proficiency in scrub and EKG lead placement.
• Experience with venous access and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose).
• Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG compliance exam (up to two attempts allowed).
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local rate option).

• Radial/ulnar/femoral access.
• EP ablations, studies, and PV lab procedures (e.g., fistulograms, thrombectomy).
