Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation
• Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
• Perform sheath removal and monitoring
• Manage IV infusion pumps and vasopressors
• Monitor End-Tidal CO2 and Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
• Administer antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
• Assist with cardiac stent placement and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
• Perform left and right heart catheterization
• Circulate procedures in the catheterization lab
• Monitor pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz
• Apply infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE
• Use Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale
• Perform cardioversion as needed

Requirements

• 1 Year of experience
• PA License or Compact License
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
• Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
