Schedule

• 13-week assignment
• 5 days, 8-hour shifts: 06:00 – 16:30 or 07:00 – 17:30

Responsibilities & Skills

• End-Tidal CO₂ monitoring
• Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
• Antiarrhythmics & antihypertensives
• Blood product administration
• Cardiac stent placement
• Diagnostic & interventional cardiac catheterization (adult)
• Emergency medications
• IABP placement/removal
• Impella insertion
• Infection prevention & isolation precautions/PPE
• Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• IV vasopressors
• Left & right heart catheterization
• Monitoring & administration of procedural sedation
• Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Pressure ulcer assessment/prevention
• Cardiac implant closure device
• Cardioversion
• Circulate procedures
• External compression devices (C-Clamp, sandbags)
• Hypothermia protocol
• Pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal
• Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Reversal agents
• Rotablator atherectomy
• Sheath removal/monitoring
• Special procedures
• Starting & maintaining IVs
• Thrombolytics
• Topical hemostasis (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch)
• Vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• Certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
• Licensure: WI license or Compact License
• Charting system: Epic
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
