About the role
Join an acute-care Level-2 trauma hospital with 233 beds and Epic charting. One opening available.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations (adult)
- Assist with angioplasty, stent placement, PCI, TAVR, rotablator atherectomy, and LAA closure
- Place/remove IABP and Impella devices
- Insert temporary pacemakers and assist with permanent pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation using Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale
- Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
- Start and maintain IVs, administer IV vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, thrombolytics, emergency medications, and reversal agents
- Monitor end-tidal CO₂ and activated clotting time (ACT)
- Circulate and scrub procedures
- Place and manage central venous access (non-tunneled, PICC, ports), chest tubes, and dialysis grafts
- Perform upper/lower extremity, renal, carotid, pulmonary, hepatic, and thoracic angiography
- Assist with chemoembolization, embolization, TIPS, valvuloplasty, and Watchman procedures
- Insert gastrostomy tubes and nephrostomy catheters
- Apply vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Administer blood products and follow infection prevention, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
- Conduct tilt-table studies and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Assess and prevent pressure ulcers
- Follow hypothermia and malignant hyperthermia protocols
- Ensure radiation and laser safety
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Pay
$2,596–$2,801 weekly (includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements).
