Travel Cath Lab / EP Technologist - $2,967 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab in Austin, Texas. The role involves performing Heart, IR, and EP procedures, working 40‑hour weeks (5×8‑hour shifts) from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM with rotating on‑call coverage. The assignment starts October 12, 2026 and lasts 13 weeks, with one opening. Local candidates are accepted (a radius rule may affect pay) and first‑time travelers may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system
• Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and oxygen saturations
• Anticipate procedural changes and communicate patient condition updates to physicians and team members
• Conduct patient testing including oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, and hemodynamic calculations
• Maintain asepsis and follow infection control and sharp safety protocols
• Assist with room setup, patient transport, and post‑procedure cleanup
• Provide patient education on post‑procedure monitoring and catheter site care

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Current RT‑R (ARRT) or RCIS certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start, if applicable
