Travel Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RN - $2,565 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN CVICU position in Providence, Rhode Island. 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. Immediate opening for Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RNs with 1–2 years' recent acute care experience. You will work with a diverse team to administer care to patients following specialized procedures including open-heart surgery and heart transplants in a fast-paced, urgent critical care environment. Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols
• Respond to emergencies hospital-wide to provide CPR and operate defibrillators
• Educate patients and family members on managing recovery at home

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Physical requirements

• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Lift 20 pounds easily
• Move or lift patients up to 50 pounds at times
• Strong coping skills for high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
