Travel Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse - $2,345 per week

About the role

ICU Cardiovascular (CVICU) Nurse position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a Magnet Designated facility. Provides specialized critical care to cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, focusing on invasive line monitoring, chest tubes, cardiac medications, and ventilator management in a dynamic critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Competent in invasive line monitoring (Swan Ganz, arterial lines)
• Manage pacemakers (epicardial, transvenous), chest tubes, and cardiac medications such as inotropes and vasopressors
• Ventilator and tracheostomy management, along with cardiac rhythm interpretation
• RN may draw from invasive lines but not peripheral sticks
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of one year of ICU experience including one year in CVICU
• Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• Start date: 10/19/2026
• Must be able to start on 10/05/2026 and be available through 01/02/2027; orientation includes 1 day facility/unit orientation plus 2‑4 hours NEO training, followed by unit placement with a preceptor
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week

Schedule

• Nights shifts from 07:00‑19:00 or 19:00‑07:00
• Minimum 36 hours per week
• 12‑hour shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiovascular surgical procedures (ECMO, CVVH, IABP, VAD)
• Float rotation may be required

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
