About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in a Stepdown unit, primarily focusing on patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure and post-cardiac surgery cases. The RN will work closely with floor patients and must possess fundamental cardiac experience along with proficiency in using the EPIC charting system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in a stepdown unit setting.
• Administer medications and titrate intravenous drips including but not limited to Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Cardizem, Nicardipine, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Dobutamine.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient records in the EPIC system.
• Respond promptly to changing patient conditions and emergencies.

Requirements

• Active RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Previous experience in Stepdown and MedSurg/Tele units is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in patient care management and ability to read telemetry strips.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• 36 hours per week.
