About the role
The Cardiac Step Down Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in managing cardiac patients. Preferences include LVAD and heart failure training. The role involves assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
- Administer IV infusions including Lasix, Dobutamine, Heparin, and Amiodarone.
- Carry out assessments and document patient conditions accurately.
- Cook up with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care delivery.
Requirements
- 1 year of charge experience in a cardiac setting.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- A minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience.
- Experience with IV infusions and cardiac telemetry is preferred.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
