American Traveler is seeking a travel Echo-Vascular Technician (Cardiac Sonographer) for a position at the Heart and Vascular Institute in Rapid City, South Dakota. The role is based in an outpatient clinic setting with 11 imaging rooms, serving both adult and pediatric patient populations. You will work alongside a Patient Service Representative, RNs, 17 additional sonographers, 14 cardiologists, and a Clinical Informaticist. A 5‑day orientation is provided, holiday coverage is included in the weekend/call rotation, black scrubs are required, and free parking is available. First‑time travelers will be considered, but candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility, and permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cardiac scans (Complete/Limited), 2D measurements, strain imaging, TEE, and Stress Echo.
- Average 8 outpatient and 6‑8 inpatient patients per day.
- Utilize Philips Cv‑x and 7C ultrasound equipment.
- Chart examinations in EPIC EMR.
- Work 8‑hour day shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Float from the clinic to the hospital as needed.
- Provide call coverage in the hospital: 6 nights per month, with weekend call occurring every 6‑7 weeks.
