American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level III Trauma Center in Puyallup, WA.

Work in an imaging department with 3 CT suites at a 375-bed Level III Trauma Center in Puyallup, WA
Night shift patient mix is approximately 90% ER and ICU cases
Department sees over 100 patients in a 24-hour period
Cardiac CT experience is preferred
Equipment includes Siemens Dual Source CT 128 Flash, Definition 64 (interventional CT), and Definition Edge 128 in the ER
Contrast injector: MedRad; medication dispensing via Pyxis; PACS: Change Healthcare
EMR: Epic
12-hour night shifts, Saturday through Monday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
2–3 on-call shifts per month; call hours are 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Floating is not typically required
Holiday coverage expected on an every-other basis

Current BLS, ARRT (CT and R) certifications required
Washington State license required if applicable
Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a large Level III or higher facility required
Acute care hospital experience required; critical access-only background is not accepted
Proficiency with CT case types including general diagnostic, interventional, ER, and ICU cases
2 references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent) required prior to start; 1 reference accepted at time of consideration

Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a large Level III or higher facility required

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

First-time travelers are considered provided they have experience in a large Level III or higher facility with broad CT experience

Covered by a Lead CT Tech, Radiologist (on-site during day, remote at night), IR MD and PA, Respiratory Therapy, Hospitalist, and a CT transporter (available except 4:00 AM – 9:00 AM)
Up to 5 CT Techs on duty during business hours; 3 CT Techs after 5:00 PM
Orientation includes new employee orientation (NEO) plus approximately 1 week of department-specific training, with flexibility for additional time if needed
Schedule follows a fixed, repeating rotation with minor alterations; shift change requests can only be accommodated if the desired shift is already posted
RTO requests must be submitted to and approved by the manager
First-time travelers are considered provided they have experience in a large Level III or higher facility with broad CT experience
Coverage for holidays is expected on an every-other basis

Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable; professional appearance required with no logos or designs
