About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week evening shift contract at an acute care hospital in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a CT Scan department at a 373-bed acute care hospital (344 acute, 29 inpatient rehab) with no trauma designation
  • Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient cases
  • Department performs CT-guided invasive procedures, cases with anesthesia, and cardiac CT imaging
  • Average volume of 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
  • Equipment includes 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS 40, Force, Edge+) and Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
  • EMR: Epic (Epic Radiant RIS); PACS: Philips iSite
  • 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM
  • On-call required approximately 2–3 shifts per month
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with most recent experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
  • Current BLS certification
  • Active state license required, if applicable
  • Proficiency in venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
  • Ability to start peripheral IVs
  • Epic EMR experience
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
  • Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Qualifications

  • Reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Former employees who held a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
  • Black scrubs required
  • Free parking available in surface lots and parking decks

Skills

  • TeraRecon knowledge is preferred but not required
  • Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
  • A clinical interview with the manager is required
