About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and positions patients
- Selects anatomic and technical parameters
- Administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice
- Maintains sterile field and infection control protocols
- Performs complex patient assessment and monitoring
- Manipulates and places wires and catheters as permitted by licensure
- Documents patient radiation exposure and follows safety procedures
- Provides patient and family education before and after procedures
- Manages inventory and performs case-specific documentation
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience
- BLS certification required (AHA accepted)
- Licenses required if applicable
- Two professional references required
- Copies of Driver's License required for consideration
Qualifications
- US Social Security Number required
- US home address required
Skills
- Proficiency in ionizing radiation procedures
- Knowledge of complex image manipulation and data interpretation
- Ability to manage sterile field and infection control protocols
- Effective communication and patient education skills

Pay
The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
