About the role

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 12-week assignment in Nashville, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the cardiac catheterization lab before procedures.
  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiology procedures, and other vascular interventions.
  • Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
  • Scrub, circulate, and monitor procedures as assigned.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Maintain patient vital signs and report changes to the physician and nursing staff.
  • Administer contrast media and assist with medication preparation (as permitted by facility policy).
  • Document procedure details accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
  • Respond to emergency situations during procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience in an acute care hospital.
  • Experience with: Coronary angiography PCI (angioplasty/stent placement), Peripheral vascular procedures, Structural heart procedures (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
  • One of the following, depending on facility requirements: Cath Lab Tech Certification.

Qualifications

  • Previous travel assignment experience.
  • Experience with EP Lab or Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Wear lead aprons for prolonged periods.
  • Manual dexterity to handle sterile instruments and equipment.

Benefits

  • Call requirements commonly include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Contract length is generally 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
  • Common Equipment Used: Fluoroscopy systems, Hemodynamic monitoring systems, Contrast injectors, Balloon pumps, IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound), OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), Mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., Impella).

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Schedule 5 x 8-hour shifts.
