About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 5+ years of experience and RCIS certification to work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab in Birmingham, Alabama. This travel assignment starts on September 14, 2026, and offers a 1:1 patient-to-team ratio in a lab with four procedure rooms serving a cardiac patient population.

• 4×10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Call rotation: one weekday per week and one weekend per month
• No floating required
• Equipment: Merge Hemo and Epic EMR; Phillips panning experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures in a high-volume cath lab
• Operate and troubleshoot IABP, Impella, Laser, and Shockwave devices
• Adhere to CMS and facility standards for professional attire (ceil blue or royal blue scrubs)
• Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and accountability as part of a comprehensive heart and vascular care team

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
• RCIS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
