About the role

Cardiovascular Technologist specializing in Cardiac Catheterization in York, Pennsylvania. This position involves working in an advanced invasive cardiology unit that performs over 6,000 procedures annually, including complex coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, and ventricular assist device support. The role requires supporting high-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment.

Schedule

Day shift will work 10-hour shifts between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., with weekends as needed. Candidates must be willing to stay until the last patient is cared for. Call is required but minimal, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of advanced cardiovascular procedures, including TAVR, PFO/ASD closures, and pulmonary embolism interventions
• Care for high-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced environment
• Perform procedures including cardiac catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker/ICD implants, and invasive procedures
• Manage End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, hemostasis, and vascular closure systems
• Chart using EPIC system
• Care for COVID-19 patients as needed

Requirements

• Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support)
• At least 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Valid Pennsylvania RN license (if applicable)
• Proficiency in cardiac catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker/ICD implants, and invasive procedures
• Experience with EPIC charting system

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with complex cardiac procedures, VAD/ECMO support, and structural heart interventions
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary cardiac care

Additional Information

The unit comprises 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs, 3 electrophysiology labs, and 2 shared labs, with pre/post-procedure bays. The facility is tobacco and fragrance free.
