Unit Overview The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a highly specialized 20-bed unit focused on delivering top-quality care for patients undergoing various open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. Our team utilizes advanced technology and specialized equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Special Equipment Utilized Intra-aortic balloon pumps Impella devices Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Epicardial pacemakers Schedule Requirements The schedule varies from 7 AM to 7 PM. Registered Nurses in this role are required to work 2 major holidays out of the 3 (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve). Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU or similar specialty. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification are required. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is preferred. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is a plus.
