About the Role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CCU - Coronary Care for a travel nursing job in Columbia, South Carolina.
Schedule
- 13-week contract position
- Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with advanced cardiac devices and diagnoses, including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and CRRT
- Manage dysrhythmias and perform interpretations as needed
- Administer medications and treatments, including continuous IV sedation and blood products
- Conduct post-cardiac surgery care and pre/post-cardiac catheter interventions
- Perform arterial line management, hemodynamic monitoring, and CRRT
- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 for intensive care
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration with various medical teams
- Provide comprehensive care for cardiac/medical intensive care patients as well as some step-down overflow
Required Experience & Certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiac ICU experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Knowledge and experience in post-operative care (not directly from the OR) and sheath removal
- Demonstrated ability to care for ventilated patients and manage invasive lines
