Travel Cable Technician
About the role
We are seeking experienced Traveling Cable / Low-Voltage Technicians to low voltage rollout projects. This role involves nationwide travel, working as part of a team to install, cable, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6)
- Terminate, label, and organize cabling in IDFs and camera locations
- Test and certify cabling using industry-standard testing equipment (Fluke preferred)
- Unistrut Conduit Surface and ceiling mounts
- Verify network connectivity to required IDFs
- Make physical camera adjustments as requested by the client
- Return to sites as needed for follow-up adjustments or corrections
- Capture And Upload Required Deliverables
- Test results Validation documentation
- Upload documentation into ServiceNow
- Follow all site safety, PPE, and customer requirements
- Work effectively in teams of four on overnight shifts (typically four nights per store)
Requirements
- Current/Valid State's drivers license - Will be traveling in company vehicle
- 2+ years of IP Camera or Wireless Access Points Experience
- Strong Hands-on Experience With CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
- Termination and testing Retail or commercial environments
- Comfortable working in IDFs and ladder/lift environments
- Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to travel 100% nationwide for extended periods
- Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain productivity
Qualifications
- Required Skills & Experience: 2+ years experience in low-voltage or structured cabling environments
- Preferred Qualifications: Fluke certification or strong testing experience, Conduit bending or light electrical/EMT experience, Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/documentation systems

Pay and Benefits
