Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is located within a hospital specialty clinic dedicated to serving patients recovering from trauma, stroke, and other complex medical conditions affecting neurological speech and swallowing functions. This outpatient role involves evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Details

  • Location: Minneapolis, MN, at a healthcare facility serving a diverse patient population.

  • Shift: Daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

  • Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (e.g., ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence)

  • Licensure in the state of Minnesota for Speech-Language Pathologists issued by the Minnesota Department of Health

  • Experience in independently performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) for a minimum of 1 year

  • Experience evaluating and treating patients with Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke, including speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, in a clinical setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBS-ImP Certification or equivalent

  • Flexibility to provide occasional PRN cross-coverage in outpatient, acute rehabilitation, and acute care settings

Additional Information

  • The role includes performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and evaluating a neurologic speech-language pathology caseload.

  • Expected productivity is 2224 treatment units per day, averaging approximately 6 hours of direct patient care daily.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
