Travel Acute Care Physical Therapist - $2,367 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and a Louisiana state license, with first-time travelers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting on general medicine floors within a regional referral center.
• Treat patients with high acuity diagnoses in a geriatric patient population.
• Float to other general medicine floors within the hospital.
• Work a day shift schedule of 8:30–17:00 (occasionally 8:00–16:30), 5x8-hour shifts per week with 4 weekend shifts per month.
• Participate in emergency response teams as needed.

Requirements

• Current Louisiana state PT license required (license required if applicable).
• Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued).
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required.
• Acute care or general medicine hospital experience required.
• Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position.

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
