About the role

In this position, you will be a technical consultant in the Orthopedics product portfolio specializing in solutions for internal and external fixation to restore the function of the injured body part(s) quickly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Convert physicians/accounts by making sales calls and providing on-call clinical case coverage in the operating room
- Train surgeons on Smith+Nephew products through education/programs in your territory
- Work collaboratively with key podiatry and orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, Sterile Processing Department (SPD), administration, clinicians, and researchers
- Work cross-divisionally to increase awareness and adoption across divisions
- Manage a 24/7 call rotation within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Minimum (4) four years sales experience in medical device industry, specifically selling orthopedic products or as an EMS/Paramedic
- Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products or as an EMT/Paramedic
- Proven track record selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
- Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives

Skills
- Technical expertise in the Orthopedics portfolio
- Ability to build positive relationships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and hospital administration
- Effective territory business planning to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota
- Proficient in Extremities Orthopaedics

Pay
Competitive salary and bonus structure based on performance
Schedule
Within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
