How You’ll Help

Transform Healthcare
As a team member of the Trauma Service, registrars are responsible for:

• Medical record analysis
• Data abstraction
• Performance improvement initiatives
• Overall data management specific to the trauma patient
• Executing all data management activities with focus on maintaining the Trauma Registry database through data abstraction
• Utilizing expertise in ICD-10 Coding principles, Abbreviated Injury Scale, E-codes and interpretation of Emergency Medical Services prehospital reports
• Ensuring accuracy and consistency of data
• Providing staff support for the trauma service
• Aiding in various PI initiatives and data analysis
• Maintaining conference minutes
• Designing and generating trauma-related reports for medical and other professional staff
• Submitting all required trauma data to the State Registry and National Trauma Data Base (TQIP) in a timely and accurate manner
• Having good working knowledge of computer software including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, and database in presentation of the data
• Participating in community education and outreach activities as requested
• Providing injury prevention written material as requested for patients, families and the community

Compensation

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
