Mission Hospital, located in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a seasoned Trauma Medical Director / acute care surgeon for our busy ACS Level 1 program.
Requirements
- Board certified in General Surgery
- Board certified in Surgical Critical Care
- ATLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Experience as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director in a Level I or II Trauma Center
- Willingness to perform in a hybrid role (40%-50% administrative duties)
Please note that this position does not offer visa support.
Responsibilities
- Cover an equal mix of trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery
- Day shifts of 10.5 hours; night shifts of 13.5 hours (no 24-hour shift requirement)
- Participate in teaching opportunities through our surgical residency
