Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources and activities necessary to ensure the Trauma Services meets regulatory requirements.
• Collections of Trauma data and maintenance of statistical information for the Trauma Registry.
• Tracking of Trauma patients throughout the Trauma system (pre-hospital to rehabilitation).
• Coordination of trauma educational programs for the institution as well as public education and prevention programs in the community.
• Teaching and coordination of educational program experience preferred.
• Work in a collaborative relationship with other health care members in the promotion and provision of comprehensive patient care.
• Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Team approach to patient care.
• Day and evening flexibility required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License required.
• Current BLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• TNCC required upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital emergency department.
• Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• ENPC and CEN or CCRN preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
