About the role
At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that enhances lives. We seek an Associate Sales Representative (ASR) for our Orthopaedics team in Lima, OH. The ideal candidate will have a passion for impacting health and well-being, a drive to exceed targets, and a commitment to building strong relationships with surgeons, KOLs, and hospital staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling operative cases and securing inventory for those cases.
- Observe and consult the surgical team on Smith+Nephew instrumentation and implants.
- Complete logistical requirements associated with surgical cases.
- Build rapport with surgeons, KOLs, hospital staff, and colleagues to enhance access to customers.
- Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed sales quota.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide data-driven, trusted solutions and support the salesforce and customers.
- Work with all Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional sales experience.
- A valid driver's license applicable to current residence.
Qualifications
- Ability to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information related to surgery and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for driving the business forward.
- Resourceful and committed to becoming proficient in joint reconstruction.

- Technical expertise in the Orthopaedics portfolio.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
