Trauma and Emergency RN - Full Time

About the role
Saint Alphonsus Health System is hiring Emergency and Trauma Nurses to support the Emergency Department at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. Multiple full-time, night-shift positions are available, with opportunities to transition to day or mid shifts. Nurses may also have the opportunity to float to our freestanding Emergency Department in Eagle, Idaho. Full-time positions are eligible for a sign-on bonus and generous relocation assistance, along with competitive wages and shift differentials.
Responsibilities
- Provide autonomous care in a fast-paced emergency department
- Work collaboratively with emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, and other specialties
- Manage emergency patients and trauma cases
- Utilize advanced treatment protocols in a Level II Trauma Center, Level I STEMI Center, and Level I Stroke Center
Requirements
- Current Idaho RN license (multistate licenses must establish Idaho residency within 60 days of hire)
- Proof of application for an Oregon RN license within 90 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at hire (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
- BLS/HCP certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network (unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS)
- Preferred: One or more years of nursing experience in an emergency setting
- Experience with critical patients and strong critical thinking/assessment skills
- Ability to prioritize patient needs and work as part of a team

Boise Emergency Department: A 38-bed unit serving patients of all ages, functioning as the region’s most advanced trauma center. The continuum of care includes Life Flight, emergency services, multi-specialty surgical expertise (neuroscience, trauma, orthopedics), critical care, rehabilitation, and state-of-the-art diagnostics.
Eagle Emergency Department: A 14-bed freestanding center open 24/7, offering shorter wait times. Staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and a highly collaborative team.
