Transporter - SJJIL Transport

About the role

Department: Imaging. Facility: Prime Healthcare- St Joseph Hospital. Location: 333 Madison St, Joliet IL.

Responsibilities

• The transporter transports patients to and from the department.
• Other duties include but are not limited to: darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, and front office duties.
• Performs clerical duties for the department such as answering telephones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients.
• Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports and retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records.
• Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in the department.
• Demonstrates good telephone etiquette and greets patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
• Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.
• Transportation experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $15.00 to $21.72. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
