Responsibilities

Transporter is responsible for patient transport by stretcher, wheelchair or cookie chair to designated locations throughout the facility. Upon request, transports medications with patients and connects patients to O2, if needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required (BCLS training provided)

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs, stretchers or cookie chairs required
• Ability to stand or walk for periods of time required
• Ability to use handheld electronic devices/computers required
• Physical Demands 27 A Patient Transport

Skills

• Excellent documentation skills required
• Excellent verbal communication skills required
• Ability to provide excellent customer service required
