Responsibilities
- Transports patients, supplies, equipment, medication, medical charts, specimens, blood products, flowers, name plates, paper (i.e., OR schedules, requisitions, etc.) in a timely manner
- Transport patients safely to/from all patient units & designated treatment areas in a timely manner and in accordance with prescribed procedures
- Perform or assist with the movement of patients; assist with transport/transfer of patients from chair/bed, bed/stretcher, etc.
- Maintain or ensure maintenance of required supplies and equipment; ensure equipment used for transport is safe, clean, and easily accessible
- Practice effective communication and collaboration with other health care members
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or Equivalency required
- Current or previous experience as a transporter preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and/or patients with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to be flexible and self-directed
- Effective interpersonal skills

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $25.1714 - $26.4962 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
