Specialty Laboratory Technologist - Mount Sinai Brooklyn - 0.4 fte part-time day shift
Responsibilities
Duties may include based on candidates experience:
- Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and knowledge of Blood Bank Type and Screen, Crossmatching - Gel and tube technology.
- Assist in procedures, quality control, enter results into LIS, follow Lab policy and procedures.
- Read manual differentials, Knowledge of automated equipment.
- Knowledge chemistry and hematology and instrumentation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot procedures as required.
- Perform Quality control and maintenance procedures as required.
- Perform manual differentials, normal and abnormal, cell counts, coagulation procedures, Urinalysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
Qualifications
NYS Licensed Medical Technologist and registration certificate required, BS degree required in Science. ASCP preferred. Experience preferred.
- Proficient in manual differentials and body fluid cell count.
- Computer literate, Excellent communication skills.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $54.6911 - $67.0586 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
