Responsibilities

• Transports patients and materials throughout all hospital areas by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or chair.
• Complies with all safety protocols, proper body mechanics, and patient safety guidelines during transfers.
• Operates company-issued mobile devices, which may include a dispatch role.
• Maintains accurate documentation and completes handoffs with clinical staff.
• Communicates appropriately with patients and care team members, verifying patient identity and informing them of their destination.
• Follows HonorHealth Standards of Conduct and ICARE values at all times.
• Adheres to PPE guidelines and proper patient handling protocols.
• Maintains and sanitizes wheelchairs and stretchers, reporting malfunctions immediately.
• Utilizes Electronic Medical Record system(s) for safe and efficient patient transport.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required upon hire).
• 6 months of work experience in healthcare and customer service (preferred).

Schedule

Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
