Transporter - Days

Employment Type: Full time, Day Shift

About the Role

St. Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is seeking a Transporter to join our team. The purpose of this role is to transport patients and equipment safely throughout the St. Francis Medical Center campus.

Responsibilities

• Observe for and report safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
• Transport patients on stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated areas within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.
• Promptly report any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
• Cooperatively assist in lifting patients in and out of beds as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
• Clean wheelchairs and ensure that each area has an adequate number.
• Keep an incident log of transports.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency (required).
• CPR Certification issued by AHA.
• Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding once hired).
