Transporter - ER
Employment Type: Full time, evening shift (3p-11p). Schedule flexibility is required, including some weekends and holidays.
What You Will Do
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment and care are appropriate to the age of patients served, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, or geriatrics.
- Transport patients, equipment, and/or supplies to and from various departments in the hospital using several modes of transportation and handling various types of patient equipment.
- Promote patient safety and a safe environment at all times.
- Perform other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by the supervisor or a dispatcher.
- Maintain open lines of communication at all times.
- Maintain documentation of all transportation activities and submit to Dispatcher at end of shift.
- Ensure equipment storage areas are kept neat and orderly.
- Assist in equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) card from the American Heart Association (prior to hire).
