Transporter - Central Transportation

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from departments.
• Perform darkroom duties, order supplies, stock items, and assist with patient dressing.
• Handle front office duties, including answering telephones, greeting patients, and preparing requisitions for outpatients.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing patient reports and retrieving records for physicians or medical records.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology related to tests ordered in the department.
• Provide clerical support using telephone, computer, office equipment, and PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System).
• Run errands throughout the facility.
• Maintain polite and professional telephone etiquette and greet patients and visitors courteously.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it throughout employment.
• Transportation experience preferred.
