Transporter

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from designated areas.
• Aids imaging services staff in patient care.
• Ensures proper patient identification, exam, and communication using I Care principles.
• Provides transport needs for patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Maintains transport equipment and supplies used in patient transport.
• Follows safety guidelines and identifies patients accurately during transport to and from the Imaging department.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent with good perception of order and minute details.
• Self-motivated with the ability to focus on repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication, detail-oriented, critical thinking, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Quick learner, works efficiently, friendly, and courteous to staff and physicians.
• Efficient in using office equipment, computers, and related materials essential to patient care.
• Reads, writes legibly, speaks, and comprehends English.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to DCH Behavioral Standards.
• Must comply with DCH Health System policies and procedures.
