Transporter

About the role

The Transporter is responsible for transferring patients between beds, gurneys, wheelchairs, and tables, ensuring their safe transport throughout the medical center.

Responsibilities

• Transferring patients from various modes of transportation to the hospital setting
• Assisting technologists in Imaging Services with room setup, supply management, and patient positioning
• Completing departmental logs and other administrative tasks

Requirements

• Full understanding and active participation in AHMC’s mission and core values
• Supporting AHMC’s strategic plan and performance improvement initiatives
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
• Use of good body mechanics to minimize risk of injury to both self and patients

Qualifications

• Education/Training/Experience: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
• Experience: 1 year in general patient care preferred
