Transporter 2 -EMT

About the role

The Transporter under the supervision of the Manager of Patient Transport is responsible for completing assignments from the Transport Tracking System or Dispatcher, transporting patients and equipment within established departmental time frames and productivity standards, and adhering to departmental operational and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment within established time frames and productivity standards
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Adhere to mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital
• Perform job duties in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate positive customer relations, infection control, and risk management practices

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS Certification
• One of the following certifications:
• Florida EMT-B certification and completion of additional training for electrocardiogram monitoring and interpretation
• Completion of EKG certification with additional training in patient transport
• Florida paramedic certification

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
