Transportation Yard Coordinator (Customer Onsite)

The Transportation Operations Onsite team drives carrier and service provider performance through collaboration and coordination of people, carriers, and facilities. As part of the Transportation Operations Onsite team, the Yard Coordinator oversees the organization and movement of all GLO-managed equipment on each ATL yard and completes daily inventory checks of assets (trailers and containers) across the ATL network.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily yard checks on all ATL warehouses to ensure equipment dispositions are accurate.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date account of equipment assets in the yard management system (PINC).
- Ensure equipment is properly tagged as it enters a warehouse yard.
- Request and report equipment in need of repair.
- Work closely with yard jockeys to ensure trailers are captured timely (3-4 times daily).
- Communicate on yard capacities with solutions to ensure yards remain fluid.
- Ensure trailer turns and utilization of fleet.
- Serve as boots on the ground for equipment disposition accuracy.
Requirements
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Strong communication skills.
- 1-2 years of transportation & logistics-related experience.
- Experience in transportation load planning, yard management, or fleet management is preferred.
- Experience using a yard management system such as Yardview and PINC.

Physical Requirements
- Most of the time is spent walking the yards of the ATL warehouses.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Daily travel between Atlanta HUB network.
